King is very sweet and smart. He does not act like he was abused or neglected, even though his physical state indicates otherwise. He follows me everywhere, knows his name, sits, gives his paw, goes "in" (his crate with a treat), and loves going for a ride in the truck, with or without the crate.

King gets in the way when I am trying to prepare food although he responds to "no" and will back up a little. He walks nicely on a leash, and he will "wait" at the door with a hand prompt for me to go in first.

King is very affectionate with both women and men and did very well with a 10-year-old child but he has displayed food guarding with another dog.
