Apollo 4020 is a neutered male GSD. He is very good with other dogs and people. He is crate trained and housebroken.
He has some leash manners, will work for treats ;) which lead to needing some basic obedience skill training of recall and advanced leash work. He learns quickly and is eager to please. I have taken him on dog walks and he has done well. He has gone on socialization walks as well as the walk around the block with four other large dogs in tow.
He loves to ride, once he is in the truck but hasn’t mastered the art of the graceful entry yet. I think with the proper introduction Apollo would do well with most any family. He has been introduced to a 15 month old that is very dog oriented and just walked right up to him, children between the age of 5-14 years old and has no issues taking treats or getting belly rubs.
Apollo loves to be brushed, tummy rubs, playing with toys and the ability to chew on a good bone while being next to you.
Apollo currently sleeps on a dog bed next to a bed that contains a cat that insists he is a dog. Apollo has interest in the cat but does not chase him, or nuzzle him just stares at him from a distance. When given the opportunity to meet the cat he just gives the cat a quick sniff and goes back to staring at the kitty. Apollo is also housed with three small Chihuahua's, a Dutch shepherd, a Malinois, and another GSD.
