18 September 2014: Jupiter has been undergoing his Lymes treatment and is feeling great. After fostering him for the last month, this friendly loving boy is going to make a great family dog or single owner companion but will need a dog companion to play with or plenty of training time because he loves to please. Jupiter continues to work on decreasing his separation anxiety and has been doing much better in the crate since he can't be trusted in the home alone yet. He would do best in a home where he has another dog to play with or family members who work and play with him. He would not enjoy being at home alone during the work day. He is available for adoption.

25 August 2014: Jupiter is a wonderful even tempered all black 2.5 year old GSD who loves to be with people and other dogs and still has a little bit of puppy mischief in him. He will be attending adoption events to socialize with people and animals as part of his training but wont be medically cleared for 4-6 weeks.

Jupiter has basic training, knows come, sit, down, and is quickly picking up proper leash manners. His attentiveness to his foster mom and dad is incredible after only being with us for a week as he makes better eye contact than most humans. He responds immediately to correction and is extremely driven by food and affection. A little work to polish up his obedience and he is going to make a wonderful family dog. At his first vet visit with his foster family he was found Lyme positive but shows no symptoms. He is currently unaltered and will be available after neutering and treatment for Lyme. In the meantime, he has been incredibly tolerant and loves to be around the other foster GSD in the home. From what we have seen and learned, Jupiter would do best in a home where he has human company during the day and he would love to live with another dog. He would not like being in a crate all day. He is not available for adoption just yet but is happily socializing, learning obedience, and healing up.
