Hi everyone! My name is Daisy and I am a senior girl. I’ve been living with my new foster family for less than two weeks. The Vet thinks I am at least 10 years old, but no one knows for sure. I’m still playful and enjoy my new freedom at my foster home with my two new sisters. You see, when I was rescued, I was tied-up in a backyard far far away from here, and not fed well either. From the time I was on the plea list until now, I have already gained 5 pounds, and I still look skinny. My foster mom is really trying to fatten me up. I rest a lot if my GS sister is resting, but if mom moves I am always trying to stay with her.

I take 3 walks a day, so to build some muscle tone in me, and I like all the new smells and friends that I have met. I take different medicines twice a day for: a skin condition that is not fully healed, ear medicine for a really bad ear infection that might take a while to clear up, and I also have Pannus. I must have drops in both of my eyes, twice a day, for the rest of my life. So, because of this I cannot see very well at night. My foster dad must use a flashlight when it is his turn to walk me.

UPDATED BIO.  1/14/2014

I'm ready to find my furever home!  Just before Christmas I was spayed, wow, do I feel great now.  I have been in my foster home for four months getting all sorts of love and attention. I now really enjoy being around my GS sister and hound dog sister a lot more. I have so much more energy for a senior dog.
I am a great car rider (just sit and look out window), I do wonderful at the vet, I am housebroken, and have free reign of the house at all times. I love to take walks and only pull when I find a really good smell to investigate. I'm very good with children and I enjoy meeting new big or small dogs. My foster mom calls me a Velcro dog, as I follow her around the house all day. I am a very female orientated dog, and sometimes bark at male adults. I will sit by your side and be the best dog as long as I can stay close. I will sit when asked, give paws and give gentle kisses.  I also take food and treats very gently from your hand.
If you are interested in adopting a great senior dog, have any questions, or would like to meet me, we will be at the Midlothian Adoption Event on February 8th, on Alverser Drive. Approved adopters may contact the foster at: suzybrummer@aol.com.
