Aug. 20, 2025: Beautiful Maisie was near starvation when she was picked up as a stray.  She has been receiving care for the last month and has gained ~15 pounds.  She is still underweight but she has recovered her energy and enthusiasm for life!  Maisie is housebroken, crate trained, and takes treats gently.  She likes most dogs and likes to play but may be too rough for smaller dogs and children.  Maisie is learning to live with cats, learning to walk on a leash, and is beginning to learn basic obedience commands.  She loves to run or go for walks, and has a great "off" switch once she's back in the house. Aug. 27, 2025:  Maisie was spayed yesterday and is recovering nicely. She gained a pound last week!

Aug. 29, 2025: As you can see in the video, Maisie's playful side is really showing now.  After 2 weeks, she has 'almost' convinced the resident dog to play with her! Maisie would likely do well in a home with another dog that loves to play.  She has not tried to escape from the fenced yard even though her exercise has been curtailed due to her spay surgery. She's a good dog!
