Sept. 12, 2025:  Maisie has gained another few pounds, her ribs are no longer showing and she's almost to her ideal weight. Good girl!  She has completed her rounds of vaccinations, her fur is now shiny, and she has become a very loving, playful dog. 

Sept. 4, 2025:  Maisie has healed nicely from her spay and is ready to find her forever home. She has been friendly to all people she's met, and especially likes my husband.  She gets the big paw zoomies when he comes home from work!  Maisie would love to find a home with another dog that loves to play as much as she does.

Aug. 29, 2025: As you can see in the video, Maisie's playful side is really showing now.  After 2 weeks, she has 'almost' convinced the resident dog to play with her! Maisie would likely do well in a home with another dog that loves to play.  She has not tried to escape from the fenced yard even though her exercise has been curtailed due to her spay surgery. She's a good dog!

Aug. 27, 2025:  Maisie was spayed yesterday and is recovering nicely. She gained a pound last week!

Aug. 20, 2025: Beautiful Maisie was near starvation when she was picked up as a stray.  She has been receiving care for the last month and has gained ~15 pounds.  She is still underweight but she has recovered her energy and enthusiasm for life!  Maisie is housebroken, crate trained, and takes treats gently.  She likes most dogs and likes to play but may be too rough for smaller dogs and children.  Maisie is learning to live with cats, learning to walk on a leash, and is beginning to learn basic obedience commands.  She loves to run or go for walks, and has a great "off" switch once she's back in the house.
