Meet Queenie - The Sweet and Shy Shepherd Looking for a Loving Home
Queenie is a 3-year-old German Shepherd with a beautiful black and tan coat. She’s a sensitive soul who’s still learning to trust, but once she bonds with you, she’ll be your loyal companion for life. Queenie has had a rough start—coming from a shelter —so she’s understandably shy and anxious at first. But with patience and love, she’s blossomed into a calmer, affectionate, and devoted dog who just wants to feel safe and loved in her forever home.
Queenie's Ideal Home:
Queenie thrives in a peaceful, low-stress environment and would do best in a home with a patient caretaker.
Once she’s comfortable with you, she’s a velcro dog who will follow you around the house, always by your side. Whether it’s relaxing on the couch or simply being near you, she’ll be your shadow!
Queenie’s perfect day includes lounging on the couch, snuggling up on her dog beds, and enjoying a quiet, secure environment. If you’re looking for a chill, couch-potato companion, she’s your girl.
She is crate trained and views her crate as a safe space. We recommend using it for her during the night to help her feel secure.
Queenie is housetrained and if your home has a yard, it would be best to have a yard with a 6-foot fence where she can feel safe and enjoy her outdoor time.
While she’s great on walks and lets you take the lead, Queenie is a bit unsure about other dogs, so she would thrive as the only pet in the household or with another laid-back, independent pet who respects her space.
She may not be the best fit for a home with small children due to her shy and timid nature. However she could do well with older children who understand the importance of respecting her space.
What Queenie Needs:
A patient, loving family who understands her shy nature and is willing to give her the time and space she needs to fully trust and blossom.
A calm, structured environment where she can feel safe and gradually gain confidence.
A loving person who’s looking for a loyal companion to share their home and heart.
She does not know basic commands yet, so someone who will be patient to train her and help her build her confidence would be a great match.
Queenie may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she’ll be your best friend forever. If you’re ready to offer this sweet girl a second chance at happiness, Queenie is waiting for you! Contact arek5@hotmail.com for more details
