Moose came to us through VGSR and the kindness of "Jeff the pilot" from a shelter in North Carolina where he was found as a stray.  We accepted him as a scared and frightened puppy, but he quickly turned around after having a bath, a solid meal, and rest.  He has blossomed here and has been putting on some much-needed weight.  Moose has a terrific temperament, and he has done great with our older Beagle and very hyper Jack Russell neighbor.  He has not been exposed to cats that we know of, but we anticipate he would do fine.  He is very good about going ‘potty” every time we have gone outside, and we have not had any accidents in the house.    He does well in a crate (open or closed) and is partial to his bed.  He loves to be in company with others and loves to sit down or lie on blankets or rugs.  He does play with his toys and has some ball drive.  This trait has come out more as he has grown in strength and feels comfortable.  He will thrive with continued encouragement and training.
