Johnny is a happy, healthy, moderately active one-year old handsome boy. We've found him to be extremely intelligent and highly trainable and playful. He responds well to praise, treats, and enjoys ball play. He has a mild prey drive so no cats and he has some herding instincts so no small kids. We haven't tested him but likely ok with other large dogs with proper introductions.  He has mild and typical separation anxiety for his age so should not be left home alone all day. He does well in the car. He's somewhat reactive/ protective on the leash when approached by strangers, but leash manners are improving and with minimal distractions, he's generally great on walks. He will be a wonderful dog for an active retiree or someone who works from a relatively quiet home, has some German Shepherd experience and most importantly: has some time, patience, and leaderships skills to work on turning this boy into the great dog that he's becoming. Johnny is located in lower Montgomery county MD and is scheduled for neuter on March 12.  He will be available for adoption after recovery.
