Maximus is a beautiful boy, exuberant and loves to play. He is house trained, knows basic commands (sit, down, place) and we are working on a few additional ones. He learns very quickly and has already mastered potty bells when he needs to go out and was very proud of himself when he learned to go down a full staircase. He wants to meet and play with all dogs and was very excited that he has foster sisters, and either engages or barks at new humans (it sometimes takes him a little to warm up).  We went to an outdoor event and he interacted with adults, children and a few dogs with no issues - he was a happy boy to be outside and socializing. He is familiar with the crate but not a fan. He has free-roam of the house, and can be left by himself/with other dogs for short times. He isn't destructive (except with his toys), just a bit anxious while he is settling in. He has A LOT of energy and loves to play. He takes treats gently, likes to give kisses and get belly rubs in between being a very active puppy. He would love to go on long walks, hikes or runs with you and we are working to improve leash manners. He does like to chase things (rabbits, my other GSDs), so likely would not be a match for a household with cats or rabbits. Approved adopters please contact his foster at triebi@hotmail.com.
