Hi! I’m Meeka! I’m am a very curious and playful 3-year-old female who just loves being the center of attention!!  I love to play ball and go for plenty of walks, however when I am finished I will let you know.  I also LOVE to give kisses when you tell me you love me and give two paw hugs when my human returns home.  I have pretty good leash manners, but when I see a rabbit or a squirrel hold on tight to the leash and tell me NO! My foster Mom says I need to be in a puppy-proof home especially when it comes to the garbage can or things on the counter. My foster mommy has been training me not to do things like that but sometimes I just cannot help myself when I smell some chicken left out in my reach. If you don't want me to get it you best put it way up high or safely in a drawer.

I need someone who will be patient with me while I mature and learn what you expect from me. Before VGSR offered me a safe place to stay, I was roaming around the streets. In spite of it all I love being around my foster mom all the time. She always tells me I am like Velcro, I guess I just love the feeling of being safe and secure when I am with her.  I probably will do better if I am an only dog since I want my human’s full attention.

I don’t have any human foster siblings. I’m not sure I like little ones because I bark at them all the time when I see them. However, I do like my foster mom’s children, they are much older and calmer when they visit me.
