This is Shadow #4690, an absolutely adorable and gentle female German shepherd. Shadow came from a home where she was attacked by the other dogs living with her, most recently, badly tearing her ear. The owner decided to give her up instead of keeping her isolated in another room which was done to protect her. 

Shadow has a gentle soul despite all the trauma she went through.   She is a fabulous dog who wants nothing more than a little attention, has a terrific temperament and is extremely loving.  She loves to go for walks; although she pulls a little, if you correct her, she will stop and walk beside you. I do not have
a fence so I go out and watch her play and she has never tried to leave the yard, not one time.

At bedtime, she gets a small treat for being such a wonderful dog during the day, she gets up on my bed to say goodnight so I can rub her tummy and then jumps off to go to sleep in her favorite chair until morning. I do not think she would be good in a home with small children because she is a little clumsy when she gets excited and she may knock them over. I would love for her to be in a home where someone is home either full time or part time, who could spend quality time with her so they can give her all the love and attention she deserves.

I cannot say enough good things about Shadow. She will make a wonderful companion.
