Meet Damon.  He was brought in as an owner surrender due to them not having the time for him that they thought he deserved.  He spent most of his day outside, but he has adapted extremely well to being an inside dog only.  He is in the process of being crate trained and is very food motivated.  He responds well to correction and listens when you tell him to come.

Damon is a big boy, weighing in at about 95lbs.  But don’t let the weight fool you. He’s a big baby and likes to give you kisses and attention.  We are exercising him constantly to trim him up a bit.

He enjoys playing with balls and running around outside.  He gets along well with my two other dogs but will most likely need some time to adjust to a new surrounding.  However, he likes to horseplay a bit with my dogs, and due to his size, he can be a bit rambunctious.  Therefore, he can only be adopted to an adopter who has large dogs or as an only dog.  He doesn't like cats. He has done excellent on walks and will walk along the left side of your leg.  

After evaluation around my young child, we have determined he cannot be adopted to a family with young children.  He also seems to favor male humans instead of females and tends to follow me around. 

He is up to date on his shot records, but during a recent visit, it was discovered he has an ear infection and allergies. He is currently taking medication to hopefully resolve both issues.

We will provide an update as we continue to learn about this sweet boy.

30 April Update: Damon is doing well and does not seem to have an ear infection anymore. However, he seems to have allergies and is constantly licking his paws.  He might be allergic to pollen or the grass outside.  We are still monitoring the situation.
